Stewardship

What is Stewardship?

Stewardship is the responsible management and care of the gifts that God has entrusted to individuals. Stewardship in the Catholic faith is rooted in gratitude, recognizing that everything comes from God and should be used for His glory and the well-being of others. It is a holistic approach that integrates faith with everyday life, emphasizing the importance of being faithful stewards in all aspects of life.

How Can I Be A Good Steward?

Time:  As Catholics, we are encouraged to use our time wisely, dedicating it to prayer, worship, and acts of charity. This includes participating in church activities, volunteering, and helping those in need.

Talent: Recognizing that everyone has unique skills and talents, we are called to use these gifts to serve others and the church. This involves contributing to the community, using one’s abilities for the common good, and supporting church ministries.

Treasure: Financial resources and material possessions are also seen as gifts from God. We are encouraged to manage our finances responsibly, practice generosity, and support the church through tithes and offerings.

Creation: Stewardship extends to the environment and the world at large. As Catholics we are called to care for creation, promoting sustainability and responsible use of natural resources.

The 2024 Annual Catholic Appeal enables us to fund our pastoral center ministry offices and programs that help our community members to live their faith. They include our schools and programs to support faith formation at all ages, to strengthen families, to promote a culture of life, to care for creation, to engage youth and young adults, to assist the marginalized, to sustain our clergy and those preparing for the priesthood, and to extend a helping hand to the marginalized.
