Volunteers make daily pick-ups at 14 supermarkets for delivery to 10 different churches and organizations that feed needy families in Poway and San Diego. It is estimated that throughout the year the volunteers distribute more than 450,000 pounds of food to 600 families in need.

     The dedicated volunteers of St. Michael's Food Ministry are thrilled to announce a significant boost to their vital work: a brand-new van proudly displaying their new logo! This vehicle will greatly enhance their ability to collect, transport, and distribute food more efficiently to those in need within our community.

Our incredible volunteers, are the heart of this ministry, tirelessly ensuring that individuals and families facing hardship have access to nourishment.

St. Michael's Food Ministry: Driving Hope with a New Van!

     We would like to share and acknowledge the amazing work of our St. Michael’s St. Vincent de Paul Food Group in 2024. The St. Michael’s Food Group collected and distributed 475,000 pounds of food last year. Since 1986 we have now collected more than 19 million pounds of food for needy families. We are thankful to the following stores for their very generous support. Many thanks to our outstanding crew of volunteers from St. Michael’s and San Rafael Parishes.
