Faith And Health Ministry

The goal of the Faith and Health Ministry is to promote good health and prevention of illness within a faith based setting. This is accomplished by providing St. Michael’s parish with blood pressure checks on the third Sunday of every month following morning Masses. We offer regular health classes in our “Classes after Masses” series. Our annual Flu Clinic, in conjunction with Palomar Health, is conducted every Fall at St. Michael’s. A Health Library, located in the church office, is provided and maintained for parishioners, complete with free pamphlets, handouts and booklets.

Our Ministry works closely with the Active Adult Ministry offering Health Fairs for seniors. Ushers are provided with CPR training and license renewal through our membership. The church AED device and First Aid supplies are checked monthly by one member. We maintain this webpage and provide regular updates in the bulletin promoting community service and class events at Pomerado Hospital.

Interesting In Joining?

Being a health care provider is not necessary to join our ministry. We meet every other month on the first Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Ministry Center. Contact Linda Roppe’ for more information.
